If you downloaded the game from another web source you may not get the latest version available and end-up with trojan loaded package.
In addition the official web site will be the first and likely the only site to post updates and patched (if any) version of the game.

Patch, updates and news shall be released on "good will". There is no agenda or scheduled date for patch and releases.
However should a bug or request be considered critical or high severity by the author an effort might be made to release a fix or an
enhanced version within acceptable delay.
